Back to Work

Monday I head back to work.  I have not worked full time since RT was born.  My new job at Northeastern University will be a full time job.  I am nervous!

I have been wanting to go back to work full time since RT turned one, but have had to wait to see where we would live, good thing since we moved to Boston.  Since moving, I have applied for many, many positions.  And, I finally landed one, a good one!  I am extremely excited to start this job.  I will be working with students and faculty.  With this new great job comes increased responsibility.  I am ready!

I am so happy that I had RT's first year to be a stay-at-home mom.  I admire full time SAHMs, but I just am not one of them.  RT loves his daycare.  He can't wait to head to school in the morning.  The staff at his childcare love him, too.  I love talking with his teachers and hearing how he thrives in that environment.  He is becoming such a little boy.  He is still a toddler, but I see him growing every day.  I love that.

So, as I spend my last few days preparing for work, I am able to reflect on being home with RT and on my new adventure at Northeastern.  And, I should be cleaning and planning next week's meals!

Wish me luck.

Not sure you need luck! You will do great and be great. RT will thrive and Roger will be happy too. So, just sending best wishes!

Wishing you lots of luck indeed!
Sounds challenging and super, especially since RT has good day care.
Sounds like a win-win to me!
