Minnesota

Brrrrrrr. It has been very cold. The high yesterday was 2 and today 8, but with wind chills it feels more like 20 below zero...yes -20 degrees--COLD!

We have spent as much time as possible with Owen. He is quite a special little guy. I love holding him and feeding him and rocking him. He is cute even when he us screaming. He looks at us, trying to drink it all in. He loves the lights on the Christmas tree. It is the best feeling in the world to be a grandma!

I've started my Christmas shopping. Because of the busy semester, I haven't really had any time. But, now I have a few days. This will be a smallish Christmas on the present side...but, I don't feel guilty. I have found there is nothing much that can make me feel guilty.

On our 19 hour drive on Saturday to get here, Roger and I talked about what we missed in our lives, and the answer...nothing much. It would be good to be closer to family, and we do miss Tiff and Jarrod, Mel and Tony, Doug, and Paul, but our lives are rich and we are happy with each other and all that our life together entails. It is nice to feel that sense of contentment.

So, tonight my sister graduates from college with her Bachelor's Degree. I couldn't be more proud or happy for her. We had a great dinner last night with her friends. This is a terrific time in her life, and I am so happy I can be here for it.

Oh, and the Jets won on Sunday. It has been a good week.
