What does it mean when I think upper 70s and lower 80s are cool temperatures? I've been in the South too long. Maybe in looking for employment next year, we consider something either in the mountains or in the North. That sounds nice.

As you have figured out hot and cool are relative.
I too am remembering my dad this month and especially today. And I too believe he is with us all the time.
