Difficult Decisions

I tendered my resignation to Dr. Kerner today, effective August 9, 2007. Why? I got a very good graduate assistant position in the Humanities Department at ODU. Roger and I discussed and discussed the feasiblity of my leaving ophthalmology and realized it would work. So, after agonizing my decision and getting very little sleep, I told Dawn and Fran (and everyone else at work today) and of course I got only the best reactions. Dawn is a great boss and an even better friend. Thanks for all the great opportunities and flexibility at my job. I guess all that will be left after August is our friendships...that's great news for me.
