Too Busy, Tuesday.

Yesterday was a busy, busy day. I met with people at school and felt like I barely had a chance to catch my breath. Roger and I were heading to Harbor Park to see Obama, but with traffic and parking, we decided to skip it. It would have been a terrific experience, but the hassle of parking and waiting in lines and then getting home late was just too much. Instead, we bought some new sneakers for me and went home to watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! That always marks the start of the holiday seasons for me. After Friday, I can think about and plan with delight Thanksgiving dinner. It will just be Roger and me, which is perfect.

I've been working dilligently on many projects. I have to finish my transcription for the focus groups from last summer, and I have to say, the more I do this the more I detest Merck and Guardasil--I'm reminded of the musical, The Music Man, scam the people into buying your product. Well, anyway. I also have a couple of 20 page papers due in about a month, which means a lot of research and watching 6 German comedies, in addition to the 5 more German films for class. I also have much research on Showtime and it's branding. It seems to be abandoning it's gay and lesbian audience for a broader audience in general. My paper will analyze the shift in strategy to brand the channel as more mainstream. I have my thesis to write...ugh! I am also working on applying for PhD programs, which is tricky because I have to look at where Roger may find a job, as well as the programs that are dreams for me. And the apartment is a mess. Laundry, cleaning, cooking...I guess there really isn't time for me to even be writing on this blog. Okay, back to work!
