Sick for New Year's

Roger has some kind of bug. He hasn't been feeling too great. Last night we went to Fran and Jim's for dinner and a long game of Trivial Pursuit. By the time we got to Apples to Apples, Roger was fading and we left. We got home about 20 minutes before midnight. We barely made it to say Happy New Year before falling asleep. Roger slept in, but I was up enjoying a few quiet minutes by myself to reflect on the past year (WOW!!) and the year which begins today. I am constantly adjusting to the changes in my life, but find myself blissfully happy (who knew it could be this way?). I enjoy marriage and adore my husband. I find myself grateful each morning I wake up with Roger. I enjoy being in graduate school. I enjoy getting A's! I find that as relationships change, I will always have those good friends who have been behind me for so long. I relished my New Year's call from Doug...that reminder of our close friendship for the past 6 and 1/2 years. We see so little of each other now, but that friendship will always exist. That is just one example of all those who have supported me through everything. To you, I am eternally grateful. I wouldn't be happy without all of your help. Thank you. I doubt I say that enough, but I feel it every day.

I hope you are all well and happy. Now, to get Roger feeling better. Happy 2008...I hope it is a great year for us all.
