This semester is almost done. I have just one small exam and one power point/paper project due. Then...off to Minneapolis. My parents will be joining the Skophammer family for a crazy Christmas Eve. Then Roger and I will join my parents and Nikki's boyfriend, John, at Nikki's for Christmas brunch. We'll spend Christmas evening with Elise, Mike and Cassie. It should be a fun time all around. We'll be there for one entire week.
I have been a little sad about not having my own Christmas tree this year. It doesn't make sense to buy a tree and put it up, then leave for 11 days. I just would like a little bit of Christmas in the house. Maybe we will find some. I got one Christmas picture card from my high school friend John and his family. That brightens up the room a little (of course, the rooms in the apartment are a mess and maybe don't deserve decoration...it's been a long semster). I will have plenty of Christmas when I get to Minnesota.
I've had my ODU staff and faculty holiday luncheon already, and Dawn's annual holiday lunch at No Frill Bar and Grill is this Friday. I'll find that Christmas spirit, somehow.
And, it is my Dad's 57th birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Dad! (love you) Dad's birthday has always marked the beginning of Christmas time in my house, so I guess Christmastime it will be!

Thank you Kate and Roger. But I think I will begin the Schmid tradition (My mother that is). I am 39... and will be forever on. Great new lay out.
Roger says you can't be 39, because then he is 9 years OLDER than you. That's just weird.
Sounds as if you will have a busy Christmas.
We will have claudia and her boyfriend Adam here so that will be fun.
We will toast all the US relatives on Xmas day.
