We had a strange, but fun weekend. Friday night started pretty boring with homework. I had to work Friday morning; it was supposed to be Melissa's last day, but she failed to show up or call in. I went in to help out Seneca, but she could have handled it herself. I just keep thinking extra money, right?
Saturday, we packed up and went to the Town Pointe Virginia Wine Festival. It was the 4th year that Dawn provided tickets and tables for her employees. We had a lot of fun. I will say this, wine has a way of sneaking up on you. It seems like you are only tasting very little, but after a couple of stops, you are at the very least tipsy. We had fun in our "chalet" eating and visiting and resting out of the sun between tastings. Thanks again, Dawn.
After a needed nap, Roger and I went to the ODU theater at 11:30 pm Saturday for the midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Show (not the Picture show, but the musical). It was a riot. The best performer had to be the narrator. The costumes were fun, a little racy, but it was just a bunch of fun. Of course, getting home at 2 am was not the best. We may be too old for that.
Our Sunday was filled with homework and reading before heading to Dawn's for a barbeque. Her boyfriend Jeff had family in town so we had a nice afternoon sitting outside talking and eating. It was a nice ending to the weekend. OK, not quite the end...I finished Harry Potter 6 and started 7 and have to finish my homework so I can finish 7 soon. I just have to know what happens.
Enjoy the upcoming week. Life is always good.
